THE STORY: A 'Rivière' is a classic necklace made of gemstones of identical size or perfectly graduated. One of the most famous Rivières belonged to Queen Mary and consisted of 34 old-cut diamonds. She later gave the necklace to her granddaughter, Princess Margaret, and it was subsequently sold at Christie's for nearly £1 million in 2006.

THE FRAGRANCE: Sparkling at the top, spicy notes of Indian black pepper and Persian saffron blend melodiously into Ceylon cinnamon with a luminous accord of lemon blossom. This dazzling opening slips into a deep, faceted heart of Russian clary sage, Turkish rose and carnation, polished with warm, toasted patchouli from Indonesia.
