A masterful blend of South Pacific sandalwood, rich in vanilla and orris powder, and Australian sandalwood, greener, spicier and smokier, Island Lush offers a sandalwood heart as enchanting and nuanced as it is seductive, lifted by vetiver, leather, agarwood and an indulgent benzoin.

Keen to showcase Australian expertise in botanical research and development, Goldfield & Banks has housed this creation in packaging as sumptuous as the fragrance it holds. Each French glass bottle is coated with a lacquer containing 24-carat gold, a tribute to the romance of the Australian gold rush and the allure of the indigenous flora — the nuts, woods and seeds that inspire each of the house’s fragrances.

Each Island Lush 100ml fragrance is presented in a luxurious Goldfield & Banks suede pouch.

Native to the archipelagos of Vanuatu and New Caledonia, South Pacific sandalwood — Santalum austrocaledonicum — is an evergreen tree reaching nine meters in height, harvested from the wild by local communities for its prized heartwood and roots.

Turning to the idyllic shores of these islands in search of rare new natural materials, Goldfield & Banks created Island Lush, the first luxury fragrance in its collection to explore the rich character of this South Pacific sandalwood. This sumptuous, golden, radiant oil is cultivated in Vanuatu and distilled in Australia.
