UNDER MY SKIN - FRANCESCA BIANCHI

Perfume extract

Accords : leather, spicy, powdered, woody, animalistic
Humeur : erotic, intimate, animal, mysterious

Mysterious and seductive, soft and carnal at the same time, Under my Skin is my interpretation of the animal theme. Soften by a precious iris butter, this emotional fragrance is human and intimate, as if it emanated from your own skin.

Notes: grapefruit, lavender, black pepper, spices, Bulgarian rose, carnation, iris butter, musk, castoreum, ambergris, leather accord, costus, tonka bean, tolu balm, Peru balm, Mysore sandalwood, vanilla, tree moss.

It is a perfume extract, to be used sparingly as the concentration is 25%. It has a great longevity (12 hours on average).

The origin of Under My Skin

Under My Skin is my interpretation of the animal theme. I was enchanted by the strong animal scents, and I tried to make it my own; but I had to realize that what I love in the creations of others is not necessarily what I love to create myself.

Thus, after adding animal materials leaning towards the heavy or soft or stable, I had to gradually eliminate them, to arrive at this solution that suits me best: a leather-like material, slightly animal, powdered, with a velvety and elegant feel. This corresponds to my personality and style, and when I finally understood that this was my path, I was finally happy and relieved.

The name comes from a conversation with an artist and perfume enthusiast, who said it was as if the fragrance emanated from the skin. This concept of "Under My Skin" reassured me in the idea of leaning towards something more subtly "human" than openly "animal." The heart of the fragrance is a combination of animal and leathery notes tamed by iris butter (with 15% irone!). After working on this heart, I focused on the base notes, composed of Tolu Balsam, Peru Balsam, Tonka Bean, and several types of wood.

The final step of the work was the opening, where I used grapefruit and lavender. I used to hate lavender, but here it plays a subtle and elegant role. I was amazed to see how well it blended with this fragrance, bringing brightness and elegance to it.
