Introduced in the early 20th century, Tasmanian lavender is a cultivar of the species Lavandula angustifolia, highly fragrant, which has flourished in the pristine environment of its new Australian terroir. Cultivated for centuries in France, this species is a grey-green shrub renowned for its mass of tender violet flower spikes that give off an intensely scented, exceptionally sweet and pure aroma.
