THE STORY: Created for the Mughal Emperors of India in the early 17th century, the Peacock Throne was one of the most opulent treasures in history. The pure-gold platform was covered in enamel, gemstones and a double peacock tail set with rubies, emeralds, pearls and diamonds. With the Koh-i-Noor diamond at its heart, the largest known diamond in the world.

THE FRAGRANCE: The fragrance opens on a luminous Indian jasmine, Egyptian iris and pink peppercorn pearls. At its heart is the Taif rose, from one of Arabia’s oldest cities, its ruby glow full and extravagant. In lighter notes, the rich warmth comes from princely patchouli, sparkling vetiver and browned vanilla.
