LAST SEASON - MEO FUSCIUNI
In a remote place,
crossing silent woods
and natural shadows,
I closed my eyes and thought:
“What is the scent of the voice of nature?”
Last Season was born from a journey to Sweden, in a place far from the world. In those days of peace, beauty, and friendship, I rediscovered for a moment that pure feeling which is our destiny: to always delve deeper into things, to live them, to understand them, and to enjoy them, to venture into life. This depth is expressed through this fragrance, which gives voice only to nature. Last Season tells of my first steps in this pristine place; it was a warm August morning, the aromatic notes narrate the arrival on the island of mosses. Here everything is submerged and like ancestral lunar presences, the marine plants connect us to the water, resting on the dark rocks of the Baltic. And then the slow and respectful steps of us, guests of this green, earthy, and humid space. The sun warms the bark of the trees; the animals watch us from their dens, only men, at the heart of nature. I have crossed all the seas to see you, traveled through all the forests to speak to you, to listen to your fragrance, Nature. And now that I am here, I am speechless, I close my eyes and listen to your essence, in this last season.
Last Season was designed, created, and arranged while listening to David Darling's album Dark Wood during each of these phases and reading Walden by HD Thoreau.
