    In 1989, Patricia de Nicolaï and her husband Jean-Louis Michau created NICOLAÏ with a bold bet for the time:create, sign and sell their own perfumes. They have chosen to only produce high quality and to create in complete freedom, far from the dictates of marketing, while maintaining elegant and distinguished writing.

    The importance of transmission and passion

    The Guerlain family had a great influence on the philosophy of the Nicolaï house. Patricia de Nicolaï is a direct descendant of Pierre Guerlain, who propelled the company into its great successes in the first part of the 20th century. Today, Patricia is assisted in her creative work by her son Axel de Nicolaï, also general director of the brand in charge of development. At Nicolaï, it is about passion and transmission.
