We highly recommend it, as it is a much-loved creation. “Thanks to its fruity notes,” is the first impression, but behind those fruity notes lies amber, one of Whoosh’s base notes. Originally, amber is the fragrant, dense, grayish (sometimes black) intestinal secretion of the sperm whale (Physeter macrocephalus), which protects the intestinal wall. Transformed amber has been an essential element of perfumery for millennia. However, in the case of SUPERZ, the amber used is a blend of several plant resins, based on labdanum (Cistus ladanifer), Siam benzoin (Styrax benzoin), and vanilla. It is a classic oriental fragrance, extremely long-lasting. Its aroma is sweet, resinous, warm, and enchanting. The English word “amber” is sometimes incorrectly translated as “borostyán,” which means “amber stone,” but the fragrance note has nothing to do with the mineral.
