EPICENTRO - FILIPPO SORCINELLI
Filippo, initially a curious visitor, shares his experiences like a powerful echo that disrupts and spreads. Filippo is from the Marche region, struck by the earthquake in 2016, then in 2017. That is why the earthquake will be the first theme addressed in Délire de Vojage.
EPICENTRO, perfume extract, is the first fragrance dedicated to this phenomenon. It is especially dedicated to the small village of Bolognola, with 138 inhabitants, the highest village in the Marche, located in the heart of the Sibillini Mountains National Park, severely affected by the earthquake. This earthquake is a particularly disruptive and violent event, which upends the lives of those affected and brings them back to normal in a few seconds.
External earthquakes worsen those we have within us: the earth beneath our feet being fragile, it is like a deep inner shaking. Fear and suffocation from dust are the first stage, fleeing is the second, abandoning everything: objects, memories, essential belongings, desperately seeking refuge outside.
Vision is blurred, eyes and throat irritated by dust caused by the collapses; you try in desperation to find a small, faint light, which will become the only point of reference.
Epicentro is meant as a reaction: to become aware of what is happening, analyze it, and react with the security of a thought linked to Beauty. Epicentro is a true artistic installation full of emotions that encourages active engagement with the work, thanks to the stimuli it contains that activate the five senses.
The bottle is placed at the base simulating the vibrations felt during the earthquake and has as its precious closure the faithful reproduction of a fragment of the rubble from the Bolognola town hall, which was recovered by Filippo Sorcinelli during his first visit.
Epicentro therefore does not want to be just a fragrance but a project to help the entire population of Bolognola, so that it can become Bononia again, or the land of good things.
